SAYNO! respects the privacy of students who have been sexually assaulted while studying abroad and all other concerned parties. SAYNO! also has established the following guidelines for the handling of personal information, and is committed to protecting it accordingly.
Acquisition of personal information
SAYNO! will collect personal information to the extent necessary to research the actual situation of sexual violence in study abroad and the extent required for the operation of SAYNO! The purpose of collecting personal information will be limited to the greatest extent possible and will not exceed the extent required for the operation of SAYNO!
Use of Personal Information
The use of personal information collected will be limited to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of collection. It will be done with consideration not to damage the rights of the person concerned.
Outsourcing the handling of personal information
In the case of outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party, we will conduct a rigorous investigation of the third party and supervise the third party necessarily and appropriately to ensure the safe management of the personal information entrusted them.
Management and protection of personal information
SAYNO! will appoint a person responsible for protecting personal information, managing it appropriately, and striving to prevent its leakage to outside parties. Also, SAYNO! will strive to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, and other risks by implementing appropriate and reasonable security measures.
Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
In principle, SAYNO! will not provide personal information to a third party without the individual’s consent, except as permitted by law.
